My chances for UCSB...

Hello, I would love to hear what you think my chances are for the mid-tier UC schools. My stats aren't amazing, but I hope that they are acceptable for the schools that I am interested in. My low GPA can be attributed to my grades in the math courses that I have taken (I'm terrible in math).

Additional notes:
UC schools that I am interested in: UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz, UC Irvine
I have an upward trend in my grades from 9th-11th grade, starting from a 3.0 and to 4.25...
I am a minority (African American), though AA is not around anymore...
I have taken around 50 A-G courses.
I've been told, and have received the awards to prove that I am a good writer. I will have amazing personal statements.

If you guys need any other information to give me more accurate chances, please let me know, and I will provide the information to the best of my ability.

Wow. Impressive. I think you'd be good for top tier UC's like Berk.
And I am also Historian for my class =)

Thanks... I don't think that I would be competitive at UCB...
My GPA is too low, and so are my test scores.

:/

what school do you go to that allows you to take more than 7 courses for a year? thats not fair haha
we got max 7 courses and only allowed to take 5 aps!!
so 12th grade i just took 5 aps and 2 early releases. 5.0 gpa scale wooo

I'm basically in the same boat that you're in. My GPA is nearly the same as yours. I had a 3.0 sophomore year, than around a 4.1 junior year.. Your sat scores are pretty high though. You have a good chance.
