The 30% in verbal and the C in Biology are the main concerning parts of your application. (Also that fact that you are international and need significant FA doesn’t help), but otherwise a very strong profile; I would say you have a solid shot at admission

Thanks. I am currently trying to do my best writing essays

Good luck (that’s what I’m doing now, too)!

Good luck too! If someone else can comment too, I will be grateful

OK. Nobody here knows. As mentioned above, you 30% is concerning. All you can do is give it a shot.

@skieurope I am asking you to feel like an AO reviewing my basic data and having first impression about me. Verbal part is hard, I am foreigner and… these words are just used to rare! I’ve learned over 2500 words and… during practice test I knew only 7 of them.

You know your teacher recommendations… you aren’t supposed to.

I had to have help in filling them. Most of my teachers do not know English. My English teacher filled it out at his ow, but has also told me later what he wrote :stuck_out_tongue:

oh…I see

Sorry, this is how my school works…

Do you think is it a problem if I apply only to 4 schools and generally - best schools? I am afraid I am nowhere admitted :confused:

You have no guarantee of being admitted to any of them - admissions to these schools are unpredictable, many qualified candidates are rejected every year, so it’s better if you cast a wider net.

Is it not too late? I am not sure if I have enough time for essay writing. Can you suggest me any other good (but lower-level) schools with FA for international in MA?

I’m just listing the boarding/prep schools in and around MA that I know off the top of my head, I don’t know about their FA:

  • Governor's Academy
  • Middlesex
  • Nobles
  • Brooks
  • Lawrence Academy

(If you can go to states near MA, then that adds some more):

  • Exeter
  • Choate
  • St. Marks

Middlesex is out, they do not offer good FA. I will take a look on others. Thanks!

Ough… and I will have to go to my teachers again asking them for recommendation :confused:

@TyPoland
Yeah…I don’t know: some schools provide good domestic aid, and bad international aid… (I’m a US citizen)

@dckx15 happy you :slight_smile:

30 on your verbal doesnt look very good but PA and Groton like math people so they might overlook it there
