my chances of geting into ivy league colleges

So, I am a junior and I've been looking into what colleges I want to go to and so far I have found great interest in:

University of Pennsylvania
Princeton
Swarthmore
Haverford
Cornell

As you can see these schools are very high in academics status and very low in acceptance rate. Based on my academic status:

I have all A's and B's on my report card except I got two C's during sophomore year. I just received my first semester grades for junior year and I have four A's and 3 B's. My GPA as of the end of last year was a 3.88, but before I finish my junior year and start mu senior year next year I plan to get it up to a 3.98/4.0. I was in mg classes during freshman year, one AP class and two honors classes during sophomore year, one AP class and one honor class right and I plan to take 2 AP classes and 2 Honor classes in my senior year. I have been taking practice SAT tests and my highest scores were 2010 and 2090 and I plan to take the real test on January 26th. I am not involved in clubs in my school but I am extensively involved in music/community service programs outside of school about 4 days out of the week.

What are my chances of getting into the colleges I listed earlier (the top three preferably)?? What do I have to do to have a greater chance of getting in???

PLEASE I NEED IMMEDIATE ADVICE!!!!

The top 3 are probably going to be tough for you, honestly. I would say studying more for the SAT & beefing up your scores is important. But for Princeton & Swarthmore in particular, you need some kind of boost/hook, I think, and I don’t see it in your post.

I would recommend that you go ahead and apply to a couple reaches like those. Haverford could be a high match for you, so keep that one. But if you haven’t done so, go get a copy of the Fiske Guide to Colleges. Review the writeups and pick some schools that match in terms of location, size, strength of major, atmophere, and your likely SAT score range. Visit some more of those.

Also, run the Net Price Calculator at each school with help from your parents. You have not mentioned cost, but for most students it is a huge driver in your decision of where to attend. Better to consider it when making your list than after you get into places you can’t afford to attend.

I have been searching for some safety schools but I can’t seem to find any that I find interest. What exactly do you mean by hook/boost??? What are you’re preferences of me getting into UPENN?? I really don’t know what to do and I feel stuck. I know I can definitely bring both my grades up to most A’s and my GPA to a 3.94. I don’t know about my SAT score?? I though that at least a 2000 was a good score for these schools.

Please I need any and every advice I can get.

You’re URM, right? Nigerian-American?

I’m Nigerian. What’s URM??
