<p>Hi,
I am an upcoming senior in HS from washington and can't wait for the chance to go to college! I have always wanted to attend college in Southern California bc I have family from there. Wherever I go, I will major in Business/Business Administration. I have a bunch of community service hours and clubs that look great on an application. I could also get many high up people I know to write letters of rec and such (Mayor of my city, HS administrators, etc...)
GPA UW: 3.62
SAT: 1050
SAT w/ writing: 1520
Ethnicity: White/Caucasian
I know my SAT is low, but what schools could I be admitted to with those scores and what would I need to raise them to to have a good shot at better schools?
Also, Alumni advice would be great!
Feel free to express your opinion about a school, how much you loved it and why you went there.
I am excited to make a decision this coming winter and would love your help with comments.
Thank you very much in advance.</p>
<p>I suggest you start here with calculating your UC GPA and read about the A-G requirements: [CaliforniaColleges.edu</a> - Freshman Admission Requirements](<a href=“http://www.californiacolleges.edu/admissions/california-state-university-csu/freshman-admission-requirements.asp]CaliforniaColleges.edu”>http://www.californiacolleges.edu/admissions/california-state-university-csu/freshman-admission-requirements.asp) Second, talk to your parents about what they can afford. It costs $31K/year at SDSU. [San</a> Diego State University | Admissions](<a href=“Cost of Attendance Tables | Student Affairs and Campus Diversity | SDSU”>Cost of Attendance Tables | Student Affairs and Campus Diversity | SDSU)</p>
<p>Erin’s Dad,
I am not as interested in UC’s. However I did calculate my CSU eligibility Index to be 3946. They said the minimum you need is 3502.
As far as cost goes…I try to look at cost after I look at the school itself. I come from a great family and it is not on the top of the worries (although cheaper is great).
Would I get into CSU-Long Beach or SDSU with the SAT scores I recieved?
Also, do you know of anyone who got accepted and what their GPA and test scores were?
Would you recommend a specific school that you find very good?
Thanks a lot.</p>
