Letters of Rec:
-Counselor: I don’t know her that well but we had some good moments here and there. Maybe it’s her job to be friendly and nice but I have a strong belief that her rec letter will be positive. But nothing outstanding or special
-Psychology Teacher: He liked me in and out of his class. He really liked my attitude and had decent grades in his class. I assume his letter will be better than my counselors because he knows me well and likes what I bring to his class.
-Computer Science Teacher: I had her for 2 years and I really enjoyed her class and my grades showcased that. I had a very good relationship with her and I am very confident that she will write a very solid letter for me.

I am still in the middle furnishing my essays for the WHY and common app. I’m confident my common app essay will be decent but have no idea about the WHY. Still researching for that. This is all I got. I’ll really appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

I’d say go for it. I don’t see any hooks, but you’re definitely on par with stats. Also, make sure you can afford it.

Not being in top 10% of your HS class can be a problem, especially when there is no hook. 90% of matriculating students are in top 10%, and I suspect most of the others are recruited athletes, minority etc.

I think you have a realistic chance, although on the lower end of the chance.

NU admits more than half of their students thru ED, so it is a chance.

I would also consider other Conputer science schools, like CMU. I think you would also have a chance, although also not high.

Either way, good luck to you.

@osuprof I’d have to disagree with you. I have my friends get in ED to weinberg without being top of their class. It’s also the essays you know. They’re holistic.
