I've read about two thousand of these posts so far, and feel more or less subhuman compared to most of you. My stats are nowhere near where they should be. But I heard about the PLME at Brown U., and instantly knew that that was where I wanted to go. I didn't really become serious about applying out of state (much less in the Ivy League) until this year, so I'm fairly sure my chances were blown before I conceived them. But, on a lark, what are my chances with these particular stats (I'd put them behind a cut, but I'm technologically illiterate):

SAT: 2000 first take, re-taking in November (730 verbal, 580 math, 690 writing, essay subscore 10)
No SAT IIs (Yet...taking in December)
One AP exam: English Lang./Comp., 5
School offers only one AP course, taken junior year
GPA (unweighted): 3.969 (one B, junior year, trig)
ECCs: Gymnastics team for three years (lettered all three), swim team for two years, ASL club member for four years (President junior year), drama society freshman year (program was cancelled that spring)
Volunteering: Walk every year with the National Alliance for Autism Research, team Captain for four years as well as youngest major fundraiser, spoken in front of the Women's Council of Realtors on behalf of NAAR
Awards: Award of Academic Excellence (4), Academic Letter (3), 3A West Central District Gymnastics Championship Team member, winner of the Bon-Macy's Follow-A-Leader Essay Contest

Last thing: This year, my school converted to what they call "small schools," in accordance with a multimillion-dollar grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. As such, we now have no clubs (yes, you read that right, -no- clubs), very limited athletics, and the Honors/AP programs were both eliminated. To attempt to accomodate this, I shifted over to full-time community college to complete my senior year...I've heard colleges frown on this, but I didn't see any other option. Will the change in my school be taken into account in my admissions decision?

My question's simple: Do I have a chance?

How about at my other choices: University of Washington, Washington U. in St. Louis, U-Mass, UNC-Chapel Hill, or possibly Stanford?

I'd appreciate any and all help you can spare. Am I too late, or is there still hope for me?
