- was an athlete in S.Korea but went through two major surgeries that nearly killed me because of Doctor's mistake. Lost 30lb, 7 inches of cut of my large colon. was forced to quit but rededicated myself to sports when i came to U.S.

<p>Um, I'll be honest, but 173 in Northern Cal isn't going to get you that far in terms of tennis. You'd be lucky to play at a D3 school with that rank. Anyways, I think your chances of getting into John Hopkins ED are very slim. :(</p>

<p>And I don't think having bad vision or awards from 5th grade will help much :S</p>

<p>Although you have a pretty good GPA, your weighted GPA it is not nearly high enough to be competitive enough for admission to JH (simply not enough Honors/AP courses taken.) Your SAT 1 score is decent (and when I say decent, I am referring to "decent" in terms of Johns Hopkins) and your SAT II score of 680 hurts (though your 800 on the Korean is very impressive.) </p>

<p>Your extracurriculars and awards simply put, are not nearly strong enough for a college such as JH.</p>
