I have been in JROTC for four years now, and I am ranked third in command at my high school. However, the words from the ROTC instructor hinders my thoughts of even having a shot of getting in. Any miracle stories to share that has stats similar to me?

How were your application essays? Your SAT and GPA are very low. Seeing how you took hard classes and did below average on those parts says that you didn't really master any of the concepts. But you are JROTC. This will help you out. I dont know though. I applied to UW bothell on December 1st. Got an email saying I got in December 7.

Your EC's seem to be a bit scattered, and show little commitment (a lot of 1-2 year participation)

You being Asian, I'd say its even harder to get into schools because there are so many applying with stellar GPAs, scores and EC's.

Upward trends can only show so much too.

To be honest, I think you have a pretty low chance of getting into UW Seattle.
I'm not too sure about Bothell though, since I don't know much about that campus.

My essay was about how I became a United States Citizen. I'm aware that I have a low chance, but knowing some people with even lower stats that got in, I hope I have a chance. My essay is now used as an example for my entire school, so I guess thats good enough?
