please see into it. :)

Try making this thread in another year or two.

that is what people are saying to me, but I feel a year after would be too late.

What can we possibly say to you now? There’s no way we can give you an idea of where you’ll end up if we only have your freshman year grades and a bunch of hypothetical classes to go off of.

Also, you do realize the British education system is different from the American system, right?

These forums aren’t for students to be told what they should do. It’s for students who have basically finished their highschool career and want to know their chances of getting into college.

You haven’t taken your SATs, your ACTs, SAT IIs,etc.

Make this thread your first semester of senior year.

Hypothetically speaking, you could get into all of them.
Hypothetically speaking, you could get into some.
Hypothetically speaking, you could get into none.

See why this is a problem?

Freshman year is not enough.

Not even close to enough. There aren’t any tangibles, and there are too many assumptions that you want everyone to take into account.

I’m only here to say that I have never seen anyone refer to CalTech as CIT.

where can I post it other than here? Sorry if it is a nusance

indians refer to it as CIT

Your best bet is to read other people’s applications and make your own judgement on what you should do.

I don’t think anyone in this forum will tell you what to do, step-by-step.

You will find a lot of great information here so just keep reading. Your time will come to make a thread like this.

This is WAY too early. I see NO test scores, NO extracurriculars…nothing. Post this in about a year and a half with some real substance to your post.

All the schools you have listed are able to choose from the world’s best students. Your D+ alone reduces your chances tremendously. Certainly, these schools will look at your application holistically, but unless you do something extraordinary AND get near-perfect grades from here on AND very high test scores, your chances are slim. Of course you should continue to do your best, but you also need to start considering less-elite colleges, maybe ones that accept at least 25-30% of their applicants.
