<p>Hey everyone, I've been reading the boards for the past year but I havent posted yet...this is my first one... My name is Michael, i'm a white catholic male, umm i'm a junior in a new york public high school, I'm thinking about applying to Cornell ED next year, well hear are my stats so far:</p>
<p>GPA: 93/100 uw, not sure of weighted GPA Rank: 10/365
AP's- Have taken/planning to take 12 AP's...most challenging courseload possible at my school. All AP's and Honors from 9th-12th grade.
10th Grade- Euro(3), Art History(4)
11th Grade- U.S. History, Literature, Statistics
12th Grade- :Planning to Take: Macroeconomics, Language, Biology, Chemistry, Spanish, Computer and Calculus.</p>
<p>EC's- Leo Club(community service), International Club, Mock Trial Attorney, D.E.C.A. Club, Newspaper Club, Foreign Language Honor Society and National Honor Society.</p>
<p>Will be NHS President next year, and probably officer in a few of the other clubs I'm in... </p>
<p>Sports- JV Football 10, V Football 11, V Lacrosse 11,,, I think its possible that I'll be all-division or all-county in lacrosse this season as well. </p>
<p>Community Service- I've volunteered at Church for 200+ hours so far</p>
<p>Awards- LISA Award Recipient 1st price 10(Computer Science), Also won a few school awards for essays, I'm hoping to be a National Merit Finalist as well, I'm getting my PSAT info when we return to school on monday, so I'll post that...I'm anticipating a high SAT score but I know who can't really accuarately predict your score until you take it, so I won't make any assumptions yet... </p>
<p>My strength is my essay writing so I'm sure I'll make them really good, my recomendations will be very good, I already got my teachers lined up, and my guidance counselor and I are like best friends, so I'm sure he'll write a great write up...</p>
<p>Hooks: umm First Generation College attendee and New York State resident, I dont know if that helps at all but hopefully it does.</p>
<p>So I know that you can't really tell me how I am doing so far since I don't have those board scores yet, but is the rest of my application strong enough for admission to Cornell ?? Thanks for reading my post</p>
