My chances...

I'm currently a sophomore at HS, and I wanted some people who are more familiar with this college, and the atmosphere of applying to college in its entirety, to give me a little bit of insight.

My stats are currently:

3.67 GPA unweighted
4.35 Weighted (All honors classes with the exception of my art and spanish class which are necessary to graduate)
Top 10% of my class
I have only taken one AP class, World History. (Scored a 4/5)
I'm currently taking AP European History and will more than likely score a 5, as I have set aside many hours to study for this years test, unlike last years.
Next year I will be in AP American History, English, and Chemistry.
I'm taking a physics and english class this summer at my local community college.
I Have not taken the SAT yet, but in practice exams I've scored between 1300 and 1450 (The new writing section will likely be advantageous to me as I excel in English).
Have over 265 hours of community service hours through a project sponsored by the Library of Congress; "Arizona History Project."
The aforementioned project was responsible for interviewing local veterans, and producing a "play" based on their experiences.
We also published 1000 books, and I was in charge of selling 900 copies (the rest were donated to the veterans and families on the project). I successfully sold them and worked with local companies to get them to sell our book.
I've been finance and marketing officer in my Teenage Republican Club for two years running, and I've been elected treasurer for the upcoming year. (I'm not Republican but it is the only politically affiliated club on campus, so I signed up to "check-out" the workings of politics.)
My father is an alumni, who graduated in the top 5% of his class. He has donated to the university (although not on a very large scale, by any means).

These things are probably not incredibly impressive, albeit, and I know my chances are likely slim, if any, but I would greatly appreciate any feedback.

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to add that I will probably be applying ED. I'm also visiting the campus this summer, and will likely visit again my junior year for an interview.

i didn't have fantastic stats, but i was involved in my school. Everyone i talked to said that if you apply ED and visit you will be accepted. I was.
WashU is looking for students that genuinely want to be there and aren't applying as a safety.

Thanks for the info, that's what my father told me as well.

I want to go to a school that will constantly challenge me, while at the same time will allow me to grow socially as well. Washington looks, and sounds from what I have seen and read, like a school that wants people who are genuinely interested in attending. I don't think this is a case of letting the "school choose you." In fact, I think Washington U. wants a student who has spent his or her time effectively in HS and has chosen Washington University as the right "fit" for him or her. Maybe that's under, or perhaps even overanalzying the situation, but that is how I've interpreted it from meeting a few alumni.
