My Chances?

I know most people are probably sick of seeing these types of posts, but I haven't really seen any really similar to my circumstance, so I'm just looking for an opinion. Please. :)

First of all, I'm an International Student - The Cayman Islands. (If you haven't heard of it, don't feel bad - it's really itty bitty, close to Jamaica and under Cuba, about an hour's flight from Miami.) There's only one American school there, otherwise it's the British system. The high school I went to doesn't offer AP courses, but I did take the most difficult courses there. After we take the courses, we have to sit a regional exam (Caribbean Examination Council) or a British exam (General Certificate of Secondary Education). For CXC, the highest grade is a '1' and for GCSE (sometimes IGCSE - 'International' may come before it), the highest grade is an 'A' or, in rare cases, an 'A*'.

My grades were:
Information Technolgy - CXC - '1'
Mathematics - CXC - '1'
English Language - CXC - '1'
English Literature - CXC - '1'
Integrated Science - CXC - '1'
Geography - CXC - '1'
Principles of Accounts - CXC - '1'
Physics - IGCSE - 'A*'
Human & Social Biology - GCSE - 'A'
General Paper - GCSE - 'C'

To explain the awful grade in General Paper (which is kind-of like a ethical issues/writing exam, only not really, if that makes sense), it was an extra class my English teacher was supposed to do with me and a couple other students in his free time - which turned out to be, more or less, 6 hours of an entire year. I could have done better, but bottom line, it wasn't mandatory. So yeah. If anything, just ignore it - I'm not sure if I'll even submit it, if it might hurt my chances.

My school also doesn't do official GPA's, but I graduated Valedictorian. It was an extremely small class though - about 42 total.

I've done the SAT twice - 1870 (6/2007) 620 CR, 560 M, 700 W & 1940 (12/2007) 720 CR, 610 M, 610 W.
I'm doing SAT II (Bio. E. & English Lit.) in a week and the SAT again in December.

E-c's are at least decent, I think. Not as plentiful as others I've seen though. :(

My teacher recommendations should be really, really good and anything from my counselor should be great, too. My essays are also pretty solid.

I would really, really appreciate any opinions. Thank you soooo much! :D

You and I have really similar numbers...except I got a higher score on the SAT I math section while you did better than i did on CR.
plus, we are both international.
I want to say you have a great chances to get in lest I'd be hopeless...desperate...
Good luck!

Thanks, Hucmenzu! I really hope you're right! :)

Did you apply ED?

I thought the deadline for notification was Dec 15....? confused

By the way I applied ED

The ED notification is kind of on a rolling basis, I think, but you definitely hear one way or the other by the 15th.

Yes, it is rolling. I found out at the end of October, and I know some people who found out in August, because technically you can apply any time after Junior year. Congratulations and best of luck to you all!

Yay, Hucmenzu! Congrats! :)
