The math section on the SAT is more about tricking you into getting it wrong, but the concepts are easy

The math on the ACT is straight forward, but higher level (though still not that high... there are a few trig problems though, and some of the geometry can be hard)

yeah i took the ACTs got a 30
i am planning to take them again in the fall

is it a good idea?
i do have 35 in math,
29, 29, 28 in science, english and reading

should i take it again?
i am definitely going into engineering

quick off topic question

are indians( from india) considered minorities?

I would retake. I got a 36 on the science section the first time through, but a 29 on the reading. My other 2 sections were solid enough for me (32 math 32 english). I got a review book to use over the summer to learn strategies to help me improve my score and took the October test. I ended up with a 32 on the reading and a 34 on the english (unfortunately, I got a 35 on the science, so my composite this time was a 33 as opposed to a 34, which I would have had with a 36 in science... but that doesn't matter to me anymore because I got in to Duke with my 33 :))

did you send in your SAT scores?

yeah... they weren't as good... 1370 in October, up from 1360 in March :)

Indians are a minority - just not an underrepresented minority.

And definately study for it and retake it. English is easy to bring up if you learn some tricks (i.e. usually the shortest answer is the right one)

hahahhah i cant believe there are still people on CC who dont know that indians are severely DISADVANTAGED by AA.

should i send in my sat scores?
760 math 600 Cr, 610 writing ( retaking in june)

or my act 30?
with 35 math and going into engineering?

there's no reason not to send both
