Right now my list is: UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, and SDSU.

I’m a CA resident so I’m open to any great schools in California, so just start throwing down some ideas?

So I’ll start a list and you can add on to it.

UCI

Cal Poly

UCD

???

Thanks…

There are a lot of great schools in California:

UCs: Cal, UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, Davis, Irvine, UCSC...

Other public: Cal Poly, SDSU...

Privates:
USC
Stanford
Harvey Mudd
Pitzer
Claremont McKenna
Pomona

The list goes on and on--these are just some of California's most selective schools (assuming you really are "open to any great [school]").

You can pretty much get whatever school you are looking for in California it is just a matter of what you are looking for and what schools you think are a match.

Cal Maritime is very cool. S liked it very much #3 on his list after USNA and USMMA which is where is now. Will definately have a good paying job when you graduate.

The Claremont Colleges are a cluster of five liberal arts colleges in the Inland Empire area: Pomona, Scripps, Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, and Pitzer (there are also two graduate schools). The consortium website at www.claremont.edu has a good explanation/description (and links to each individual school).

you really need to be more specific with what you plan to major in and your stats right now. it's pointless to name or recommend colleges without knowing anything about you.
