My College List - Change Anything? (CA Engineering)

I'll give you a little background on myself first of all. I'm a white male, second generation immigrant from Romania. My older sister is currently in college. I come from a "quiet" suburb in SoCal, go to an average high school, not very competitive.

OBJECTIVE:

SAT I: 2110* (750CR/690M/670W) retaking in Oct. to raise Math subscore
SAT II: 790-Physics, 760-Math II, 720-US History
ACT: 32 (33E / 32M / 32R / 32S / 8) // 32 (33E / 30M / 32R / 33S /8) retaking in September
AP: USH(5), PHYS B(5), EURO(5), E L&C(5) (Taking Calc BC, Lit, Gov, Art History, and Psych or Bio Senior Year.)
GPA: 4.67 W, 3.92 UW, 4.25 UC GPA *Got a B both semesters in USH, but I got a 5 on the test.
Class Rank: 3/344

SUBJECTIVE:

Boy Scouts (10 years): Senior Patrol Leader, Eagle Scout, Junior Asst. Scoutmaster
Water Polo (4 years): Varsity 3yrs, 2nd Team All League
Swim (4 years): Varsity 4yrs, CIF Finalist, MVP, 1st Team All-League (x2), (likely captain senior year)
Greek Orthodox Youth Assoc. (4 years): Vice President (1yr)
Club Swim (2 years): no applicable awards
Interact Club (1 year): Co-founded with friends after being chosen for RYLA
RYLA Delegate
Boys' State California Delegate

So as for the schools I am planning on applying to, this is the list that I have currently:
(**=will apply, *=likely to apply, *might apply)

() UCLA : ME / or Undeclared in Engineering
() UC Berkeley : ME
(*** )UCSD : ME / EE
() UC Davis : ME / EE
() Cal Poly Slo : ME
(**) SDSU : ME
() Case Western Resrve : ME (possibly to swim if I get a little faster)
() Carnegie Mellon : ME
() Cornell : College of Engineering
() UT Austin : ME (not sure if I should try to apply OOS, it might just be too expensive, but Texas would be a great place to live/work after school so I am considering it.)
() Harvey Mudd/Pomona/Claremont Mckenna : ME (not sure which I will apply to, but they're having an open house I am going to soon to get more info.)
() SJSU : ME (a match/safety just in case that isn't as close to home)

Is there anywhere else I should look? How do you think I will do at these schools? Is my list balanced enough with Safeties/Match/Reaches? I'm really hoping I can improve my SAT Math to the high 700s this time and maybe my Writing a little bit to get an ~100 point increase.
Thanks for your help.

If you’re doing engineering toss Pomona/Claremont M. out, they don’t offer it directly

@nostalgicwisdom‌ thank you! I was unaware.

bump

You do need to bring up the math score for most of these engineering schools. You do have a better chance at your in state public.

UCLA- Reach
Berkeley- Reach
UCSD- Match
Davis- Match
Case Western- Match (I would say safety but they are a school that is notorious for Tufts syndrome)
Carnegie- Reach
Cornell- Big reach
Austin- Match

Why don’t you check out USC? It is in Cali like a lot of your schools and has a great engineering program. It would be a high match/low reach

UT Austin is getting very competitive for oos students that I am not sure if ACT 32 can be a match for their engineering.

Adid: normally, I would say that your SAT was too low for those top tier UC’s but, your ace in the hole is your Eagle Scout status. Berkeley likes Eagle Scouts, I don’t know if it’s the overall skills acquired, the Philmont trip, the care of the environment, the former Eagle worldly leaders or what, but they seem to really like the scouts. We’ve had multiple eagles from our troop get into Berkeley. I would say that you should retake the SAT, see what you get, and apply to those schools.

@"aunt bea"‌ Thanks for the tip, another member of my troop is actually going on to Berkeley in the Fall. I hope I stand a chance.
@billcsho‌ I’ll keep that in mind, I figured it would be difficult, but I am going to try and raise my scores in my retakes this fall. I really have no idea how I scored so low in Math, on practice tests I was consistently 720 or better.
@MegaMetalHead‌ I guess I never really have looked into USC, I’m not sure why actually. Thanks for the entire list too! I appreciate your help, and I really hope my scores this fall will improve my chances.
