I am a freshmen in UIUC and my major now is undeclared. I am now pretty interested in Finance and want to engage in that career in the future. However, I am not sure what I should study in college. Many people told me I should study engineering, such as EE, to know a particular field in undergraduate and then pursue a master degree in Finance. They said it is a better way than just directly study Finance for a bachelor degree. But I really do not sure whether this way is good for me.

Yes, I am really good at physics, math, and chem in high school, but I am truly a social kind and love doing business with people. Maybe EE is boring for me, because I have little interest in it. Without strong interest, I am not confident I can always get high GPA in 4 years.

I am really confused about what I should study, though I understand studying engineering in college is a great preparation for Finance generally.

Is there any guys who study Finance can give me some advices about it?

like telling me some advantages or flaws about these two ways.

I will really appreciate and thanks a lot.
