Thanks, do you have any other suggestions for colleges I should look into, and my chances at what you suggest?

Bump.............

Come on, I want a reply!

I'll be happy to exchange that for a reply to anyone's thread.

bump................

Looking at your choices and interests, I'd say you should add Princeton, UCB, and Carnegie Mellon to your list. (Princeton:Reach, UCB & Carnegie Mellon: Matches)

Ecape: I agree with you, when it comes to the top, colleges do get awfully subjective. From this board and knowing people who went through the application process, Harvard & Yale reject more brilliant students than any other college I know of!

Godfather: HPYSM are reaches for just about everybody. I can't sincerely give numbers for schools like these.

Thank you very much. Yeah I don't expect to get into top ivy leagues and stuff, due to my GPA. They want my SAT and a 4.0. All I've got is the 2340 part.

What about UPenn? We haven't relly discussed that one. Great medical school if I choose to become a medical researcher.

And I'm sort of economically disadvantaged. If I apply to WUSTL, could I get good aid?

I may not go to an ivy league for that reason.

If you want Merit aid look at Emory also, you might get a full ride as an Emory scholar. I think you are on target to get into a non-HYP Ivy.

WUSTL...I know it has a whole ****load of scholarships (merit-based). I'm not sure about financial aid for national students since I only looked at int'l aid for any school I'm researching.

I know HYP is gives aid, but again, those schools reject people who seem like sure-shot. I guess it's the elusive "je ne sais quoi".

I'm unsure how the Californian residency could work out, but you might want to look at some other LAC's. They usually give nice aid.

Good luck with your applications.

I'd go to Emory for sure, I've liked everyone from Georgia I've ever met.

Bump........

Yet again, bump.......

Bumpliciously bumpage.
