So you're saying Princeton could be a match?

I don't understand though, my UWGPA is a 3.75.

oh i thought i read somthing different. in that case princeton deff could be a match. deff apply. if anything should be early dec its this or harvard..both # 1, cant go wrong with that haha

Wow, this is much better chances anywhere than I expected.

What happens if my GPA stays the same, because junior year is certainly harder.

Then where do I stand for the Ivies/top LACs?

Hello??????????????

.......................

I think your chances for top iveys aren't good. A flawless applicant has maybe a 15% chance at Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT. Although your sats are really nice and your course load is unbeleiveable, you don't have good extracurrics or leadership positions (reletive to top students obviosly). Boost your GPA and get some good extracurrics and you would be in the pool of "almost flawless students", but if you dont, there is always Cornell. You are probably in at Ponoma, Claremont, and other top LACs.

Yes, I would say creative good essays could play a major role. HYPS really are reaches for practically everyone (barring royalty and president's children I suppose). Without EC flair and those, I don't think it's possible to say.

Any more thoughts? Thanks guys.

Hola. Como estas?

Bien.

Yeah, the EC's are a bit lacking for the aforementioned schools....

otherwise, very good stats and whatnot.

Thanks, any suggestions for colleges?

Also, for which schools? Couldn't be all of them.

Come on homies.

Bumpity bump bump.

Come on guys.

I need like percentage chances at the schools I mentioned, and the ones we've discussed.

I'm a numbers guy.

I know this may be difficult for you to accept, BUT: WE CAN'T GIVE YOU THAT because WE DON'T KNOW. In fact, an admissions counselor could not give you that because ALL ADMISSIONS COUNSELORS EVALUATE CANDIDATES SLIGHTLY DIFFERENTLY. Harvard accepts what, like 15% of valedictorians who apply? It really is partially particular admissions counselors personal preferences, totally out of your control. I know it's difficult to accept. Concentrate your energies on creating an awesome, compelling, creative application.

Obviously I'm just asking for an estimate. Thanks for your post though.

Yeah, but I'm serious. I don't think anyone could give you an estimate. Essays are a big part of an application, and they can't be evaluated on a linear scale.

I appreciate that you want to be so exact with your evaluation. I guess since I'm a math person I just want some sort of estimate that I can relate numerically.

If you'd give it a try that would be great, otherwise just evaluate my chances the usual way.

Bump...

Keep that awesome advice coming guys. I can't get enough.

I would guess 30% chance at Caltech - definitely a reach, but possible. At least 60% chance at Reed. Not sure about the others.
