Honestly slicer, stop with this psychological analysis rubbish. Its a fricken pseudoscience no matter how many syndromes you come up with, or how many 'Dimensional Personality Factors' or 'Spacio Temporal Patterns' you can come up with. Just lay off psychology!!! Vigilante said some very true things.

I'm not talking about psychology, I'm calling out what I see. I didn't label Vigilante with any syndromes - all I did was throw one term out there, FAE and I don't think that even applies with vigilante.

When someone has such harsh words for a person who they've only read a single post on, something is wrong and I don't want the OP to feel like what that guy said is true.

Do you deny that vigilante has some conflicts he needs to resolve concerning upper class people? He lumps them all into one category, stereotyping and generalizing them. He's taking out his aggression on the OP, and I just don't see how that is right in away way, shape, or form.

2200 not that high?!?! Cut the sarcasm out, loser! Windslicer or better known as Freud, I don't believe Righteous_Vigilante is against the upper middle class, I believe he/she is tired of hearing pity parties from spoiled brats like the OP. Perhaps the OP's daddy is tired of being bossed around by a teen-ager, I show no sympathy to ripcurl.

for those who tell me to get a job to pay for a car...i have been working since i am 16 working around 20 hours+ a week. i have saved over $6,000 but my dad wont let me spending saying that cars are too dangerous for teenagers like us, and a 6,000 car would break down too often, etc...and i kind of DO need a car. my dad works full time, and my mom is always busy doing other stuff, so i have to walk 4.5 miles to school and back. and i mean thats alot of time wasted.

i have told my dad that i am willing to pay for the WHOLE thing (with loans and scholarships) if i go ucsd, but he says that in 3-4 years or even after i graduate i will come back to him and say "dad i dont have enough money to pay back my loans can u help me out?". which is completely false but he doesnt trust me. oh yeah if i go to uci i would still have to pay for at least 1/2 of the tuition.

and once again can u stop saying that i "hate my dad" because thats not true at all. i am just frustrated that he wont let me make my own decisions.

Righteous_Vigilante - I agree with Windslicer. It does sound like you hate people just because of their financial status. Not everyone who's rich act snobby and are spoiled.

Poor people want things to you know, not just the upper class.

I'm surprised by the responses to this thread.... really!

Come on! Wouldn't every single person here be REALLY ****ED OFF if his dad/mom refused to let him go to his dream school and refused to compromise or negotiate??

theripcurl1969: If you really wanted to go to UCSD, just accept the SIR. Don't care about ur dad. Once he finds out, he would be mad, but he can't do anything about it. Once he got over it, it would be fine and you would be able to go to UCSD. Oh by the way, tell him you sent in SIR after May 1. Before May 1, tell him you sent in SIR for UCI. :)

if so join the club

my dad can be such an ass. he makes $150,000 a year and still wont get me a car (not even a $2000 car). he only started to pay for my phone bill at the beginning of the semester. he is making me go to uci (even though i would much rather go to ucsd). right now i cant think of one thing on the top of my head that he has done that has positively impacted my life.

oooo thats awful, why dont you get a job. thats what i did

Ripcurl, you say that you have about 4.5 miles to walk to school. Why don't you ride the school bus like us common folk.

mike, he has a job. Post #64

w/e get a second job

ripcurl said that she only worked 20 hours a week. Start working even more! WORK! WORK! WORK!!!!!!!!!!

I ride/walk/get a ride to school. School buses suck.

^^ agree i hated the school bus...now i just drive there.....sometimes its good to have a car, but if you dont then its all good...once you start driving you realize its not that fun as you first thought it would be....and then sometimes your parents take advantage over...my mom feels lazy to go and buy something she needs, so she always tries to make me do it...and my sister is constantly asking me to give her a ride somewhere

maybe your dad is trying to teach you something in life...not everything is just handed to you. just be fortunate hes there for you as a parent.

so who likes to drink aquafina?

Trust me, like everything, driving is a novelty. I don't have a car, but usually I can borrow a parents' if I have somewhere to go. For the first couple weeks, its great to have more freedom and stuff..After 4 weeks or so it gets old, and is no more exciting than your PS-2 or a new bike was.

Hey, Jerk! I Asked Who Likes To Drink Aquafina Dont Ignore Me!

I do. :)

(10 characters)

Aquafina is prolly the best bottled water out there. That being said, I don't really drink bottled water.
