my DD got 1210 on her first sat ... she wants a 1400

what do you recommend?

580 CR and 630M

do you think it would be better to concentrate more on math (as in easier to master?).

i think CR is harder to improve on, don't you?

so, any suggestions???

she has an easy week at school, so time to prepare in the evenings.

Master math. Try to throw it over a 700, if possible. :)

Some users speak of a trend in CR. So, it’s kind of masterable. But, that would require a lot of in-depth anaylsis. If she’s up for it, tell her to look for all the answers and see what CB really looks for.

we would like to throw them BOTH over 700!

: )

she is working CR sections of old tests now … but from the sounds of the grumblings, i don’t know if it is going too well!

: (

Unfortunatly grumbling doesn’t help anyone get a higher score on the SAT. Make sure she understands what she is doing wrong. If she is getting such a low score, have you considered a private tutor?

I have never heard of anybody improving that drastically.

Setting unrealistic expectations is setting yourself up for disappointment.

it is not that big of a deal, really.

she did better on the ACT, so we are probably going to just concentrate on that test anyway, but she was already signed up for this SAT.

i am pretty sure i know of several people who have raised their scores by quite a lot.

:)
