My FAFSA isn't working o.o

I finished and submitted a 2009-2010 FAFSA, but now my information isn't matching the items they have in their database. I'm positive that I entered everything correctly, etc.

What can I do?

What information is it saying does not match? Your PIN? What?

Your application has not been received by Federal Student Aid.

To determine your application status we used the information you typed in:

then etc..

i have a copy of the receipt page

I also have the complete confirmation number

try going to the followup page and see what if any msg there is for you.

It should say "processing"

It doesn't say that :(. Iono.

go in and check your data. Esp your social security number.

what msg is on the followup screen?

Your application has not been received by Federal Student Aid.

To determine your application status we used the information you typed in:
XXXXXXXXX for your Social Security Number,
XXXXX for your last name,
XXXXXXX for your first name,
XXXXXXXX for your date of birth, and
2009-2010 for your application year.

I X'ed my info but that's it.

I've checked over and over

are you sure you filled out the 2009-2010
did you and parents 'sign it' with a pin

Hold onto that confirmation number. You will need it if you have to call the fafsa help desk 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243)

yes, we did all the pin stuff, and yes, I'm positive it was for 09-10.

can you get in to see what you entered??
https://fafsa.ed.gov/FOTWWebApp/AppStatServlet

Enter your Social Security Number (SSN) without dashes. For example, 123456789. Your SSN is used to verify your identity.

Enter your last name. Your last name is used to verify your identity.

The entry must contain only letters (A-Z), periods (.), apostrophes ('), dashes (-), or blanks (spaces). No other characters are allowed. Your last name must be typed exactly as it appears on your Social Security card.

Enter your first name. Your first name is used to verify your identity.

The entry must contain only letters (A-Z), periods (.), apostrophes ('), dashes (-), or blanks (spaces). No other characters are allowed. Your first name must be typed exactly as it appears on your Social Security card.

Enter your date of birth without the slashes (/). Type two numbers for the month, two numbers for the day, and four numbers for the year. For example, August 17, 1975 is 08171975. Your date of birth is used to verify your identity.

OMG, stupidest mistake in the world. T____T I feel so stupid

I put my Last name first and my first name last.

How do I fix this?

put the info in backwards (first last reversed) to get yourself into the fafsa you started and then fix it.

everything's already processed though, and the pin isn't working for the reversed application.

Should I just call Customer Service ?

Call the help desk and ask if you can just submit a new application using the proper info.

Yes, I suppose I'll have to fill out everything again then.

wouldn't it be better to call and ask customer service for help before putting in a 2nd application and then having 2 apps out there?

Yes, I didn't see your previous post.

I will do that. Thanks so much for your help.

We do recommend completely redoing an app with a wrong social security number. It's the best way to handle this mistake.

Wrong names are a problem, too. However, the only ones I have worked with were for students who were already in our school. We computer-matched the app to our files based on the social security number. I don't know if there would be any link-up for a student who doesn't have a SSN in the database. That's why I amended my post to suggest asking the help desk what they suggest you do.

Oh ok.

I entered all my info correctly, other than the order of the names.

I think my SSN is in the database, the only thing that's wrong is the order of the names.
