My favorite word

I love the word \"indolent\". It\'s merely a fancy word for \"lazy\", hahaha.

Here\'s the noun form: Indolence. LOL.....

Lazy bum=Indolent

Can anyone here think of other hilarious fancy synonyms?

(good practice for SAT)

Derelict is a dirty hobo, if that helps.

The best word in the English language is "sesquipedalian."

My favorite words are "sobriquet" and "inamorata."

The biggest word I know is literally pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.

But my vocab generally is pretty sad..

And wow, btw, I just noticed how many obscure words you all know... sesquipedalian? inamorata?

I thought I was walking into a Colombian drug facility...Pantoprazole, Erythropoietin and Trastuzumab anyone?

innuendo, I love it and the meaning.

What do all these words mean people? Except for innuendo, becasue if you don't know its meaning, you lack a soul.

hm..

Mudkips.

Mine is juxtaposition.

avuncular - uncle-like

^Lol, I did not even know they had a word for that.

phalange

Mos def.

how bout other language words?

Mine for Latin is - ululat lol :] meaning he/she howls
Arabic - anabihajilumusaa'adaa
lol that is a transliterated word at least, or several words jammed into one meaning "I need help" hahaha

zeitgeist all the way

In Italian I love l'ananas--pineapple and il cucchiaio--spoon. Both are so much fun to say!

ananas is pineapple in french too! that's pretty awesome

i think jiggle is a funny word, though i doubt this helps your SAT issue.

I think I win with the word spork. I don't think it's a real word in the dictionary, but the concept behind it is ingenious!

What? spoon & fork combined = ingenious? um.. ok

magnificence: a word that works both in French and English and just feels well on your tongue; love the meaning too, it makes me think about Versailles and silk.
