Hey CC
I have picked my final top 8. I decided to throw out my far reaches and replace them with some other schools.

I am a senior in FL. Cuban and first generation.

GPA-3.45
Weighted GPA-4.5

SAT=1790
ACT= 28

(Not retaking either test)

AP tests- I have passed World Hist, and Im 99% sure I have passed Biology, Spanish, and English as well

I am in the IB program and have taken the hardest course load available to me.I have accumulated about 150 service hours volunteering as a tutor at an elementary school. I started a small film group and I am in Spanish Honor society and National Honor society.

(I know my stats don't match the CC norm =P)

Colleges:
-U of Florida
-Florida State U
-Mich State
-UMass Amherst
-U of south florida
-University of Nebraska
-Oregon State University
-University of Central Florida

Are my odds good? I decided to take a mix of out of state colleges with IB scholarships and free app waivers since that seemed like a wise decision for me.

all of them are matches. may i ask why you wont retake sat/act? you can get into other good schools like u of m ann arbor as opposed to settling for state.

The scores above are from my 2nd time around on both tests. My issue is that, although both tests are pathetically easy, I am prone to dumb mistakes. Especially in math. Besides, I could only afford the tests because of waivers. My waivers ran out now, and I do not want to waste my money on that instead of college applications.

I’m not familiar with any of those universities, but the out-of-state ones could be hard to get into. Certain State universities have certain limits to the number of outside students that they will accept. You should really raise your test scores to seem more competitive. Best of luck. Chance me Back?

Well, Oregon states that if i pass my IB exam with a 30 or above (Im confident I will) I get automatic acceptance+sophomore standing+IB scholarship. The scholarship is not worth much though, so hopefully financial aid and scholarships help out.
