Yeah really. That’s really rude. You don’t know what their situation was before coming here. I’m sure anyone would come if they could instead of going to community college.

Obviously it’s a controversial issue, but let’s be honest. If he’s having that much trouble with his classes, he should either suck it up and study harder or . . . suck it up and study harder.

Idk what their situation is but I am sure 95%+ of transfers in the first place were not good enough to get accepted anywhere. I have seen many cases in which they failed to get into their first choice or even their 2nd choice(UCB or w/e), and go to CC. This is very common and they make it into UCB by getting a second shot at easy JC/CC. For me, UCB was a safety school so I don’t know what other people’s deal is…but let’s face it. Most transfers usually don’t deserve to be here anyway. It’s not like I ever cared or I ever will care about them though like many others are indifferent about those T’s.

Yeah sure that would be sound practical advice if this person said they weren’t studying…thats quite an assumption you made claiming that they arent doing everything within their power to do well in their classes. Just because someone might complain about something that doesnt mean they aren’t doing anything about it. You just assumed that because this person was a transfer that they were inadequately preparing themselves for the struggles of university, despite proper evidence to make such a claim. thats no different than being a classist or a racist its just a different form of prejudice.

Even if the transfers weren’t rejected from four year institutions and planned to go to community college, then whatever education they received in community college probably didn’t prepare them well enough to perform well at a four year institution. Sure, they might get by and even scrape together a diploma, but they really shouldn’t expect to do well UNLESS they’re actually dedicated students aiming for academic. If they really are, then they wouldn’t have wound up at a cc in the first place.

If someone’s studying as hard as they could and still failing hard, then he or she’s clearly not prepared for the class. And if a person is struggling even if he or she’s studying THAT hard, then he or she probably didn’t deserve to be admitted.

That schedule is gonna be tough for anyone, transfers or freshmen admit, except for maybe engineers. I see no reason to associate this with him being a transfer student. All he’s saying is that his schedule is tough, which is true.

Some of you are really ignorant people.

Haha so much hostility… must be because finals is coming up!!

Stop *****ing about transfers. Some are really intelligent, some aren’t. Transfers, stop getting ■■■■■■■ and ignore the whiners.

What is with all this transfer talk now?
