my friend wants to transfer! can she?

<p>hello hello hello. so i'm a freshman at unc (pm me if you want to know anything about it...i'm obsessed), and i'm trying to convince one of my best friends to transfer here. please let me know what her chances are, because i don't really know if i should encourage it or not. thanks.</p>

<p>she applied to unc last year (we're currently freshman in college) and was deferred/rejected. </p>

<p>here are her high school stats:
gpa: 3.75 (7 APs, most rigorous schedule)
sat: 2100
act: 33
really involved...</p>

<p>her college gpa is only a 2.9 though (yikes). she goes to washington and lee university, which apparently really hard. and i've met three people at unc who have transfered from w&l (which is a lot i feel like, considering how small w&l is), so i feel like unc might have like a good relationship with them. i don't know.</p>

<p>what major was she in, what major would she be in at carolina? 2.9 is a bit low but then again a 3.0 is a B average...so take that for what its worth... then again i dont know much about transfer. I think its easier to transfer OOS than to get in OOS regular</p>

<p>The minimum gpa as a transfer is a 2.9. Tell her to apply and just see what happens. It is so much easier to transfer in rather than apply as a freshman.</p>
