My Giant TV

So yeah... I have a 50 inch HDTV... is there any chance in hell that can fit somehow in a double in crown? Would be bad ass if I could bring it with me

O___O uh…you can bring a TV i think, but idk the rooms are already pretty small. Maybe you can mount it on the wall? 50 inches seems like too much to me lol. Where are you bring it from? It might be a hassle if you live far away.

space may be an issue, but if guys watch the clutter you’ll be ok

You’re not going to be able to mount it on the wall unless you want a bill at the end of the year for the damage done ;)

I’d recommend against such a large tv. I have a 26" LED LCD in my room (a small single) and it is a monster in this space. I’ve been doubling it as my desktop monitor because of space issues with having both the tv and my monitor. Even if you keep the clutter down, you’re going to be hard-pressed with all the furniture to find a safe location for it.

Wait until after you move in and after you have spoken with your roommate to make a decision. That way you’ll know if your roommate would be willing to give up the space necessary to house such a space-eating item and if there will even be room. Come prepared with exact measurements of the tv.

I live in Santa Clara, I wont be bringing it initially only after I can verify there is room, and my roomate is ok with it

Ouch. You really don’t need to bring that, don’t they have TVs in the lounges on each floor? To be honest, it might make you look pretty silly, it’s a dorm, not a home theater.

Most lounges have TVs. Not to mention a huge TV in the fireside lounge.

Don’t bring the TV. You won’t be able to appreciate the huge screen in the size of the room you have.

Not to mention, I think you might give off the spoiled rich kid vibe if you really can’t live without your 50 inch tv. Please, just leave it, for your sake.

I can live without it dont worry :)

lol spoiled rich kid vibe! I’m planning on bringing a 30 inch. I think a 50 is way to big!

50 inches is a bit much. I have a 32 inch in my double and it seems pretty big and sometimes can get in the way.

I would advise leaving it behind.
