Hello everyone,
I am a sophomore and I just got my transcript recently, and I found a serious problem...... ok, the problem is that I have taken and am taking as many ap, honors classes as many of my classmates. HOWEVER, I have more electives classes like band, video prod, foreign language, which lower my weighted GPA and my class ranking. Without those unweighted elective classes, I can easily be in top 1% or top 3%, having 4.7 or 4.8gpa. Now I am only like 10% 4.5 something (a few ppl have 5.0 at my school)cries
Will the officers notice it when I apply to MIT? Should I continue taking those classes (I really like them, I like academic classes as well)?? help!

No, don’t worry. MIT won’t penalize you because taking extra classes pushed your weighted GPA down.
