My grade 11 grades were the worst. Can I still get into college?

Throughout my life, science and math have not been my strong points. Except for some random reason in grade 9 I decided that I wanted to be a doctor since I liked helping people. (worst decision on my part) For that reason, in grade 11 I decided to take many science courses that were honors classes/pre-AP. (At our school we do half of the AP in the honors class and the other half in the AP class)

I took biology and chemistry and did very bad in both. I got a B+ in chemistry and a C+ in biology and now I am freaking out because I don’t know if I can get into anywhere. I also got a C+ in math.

As for my other humanities grades I have an A+ in all besides AP european history.

I don’t want to go into any science/math related majors when I’m older, but will those bad grades in my grade 11 year crush everything?

At this point I am looking at the liberal arts colleges which include Smith, Mount Holyoke, and Wesleyan.

help!!

Are they the final grades?

yes. i took a bit of a leap from grade 10 to 11 since before then I had never taken any honors or APs. I’m in grade 12 now and at this point I have straight A’s.

Don’t freak out. My D had a C and several Bs during high school and she is now a very very happy sophomore at Mount Holyoke. I think that if your GPA is good otherwise and you took challenging courses and are otherwise a good candidate, you still have a shot. Make sure you do really well this semester

Do make sure to include some other schools that are more “safeties” though.
