My grades are dreadful

Should i ask for academic forgiveness or do i still have a chance

Intro to Psych Repeat F
Critical Thinking and Writing Repeat F
College Algebra D
Biology B
Critical Thinking and Writing W
Statistics F
Microbiology W
Music Fundamentals C
Psychology W
Communications B
Freshman Composition B
Human Anatomy & Physiology I W
Intermediate Algebra (not included) C
Prin. of Sociology A

The W's do not count. Some of those courses you will have to make up anyways if you want to transfer.

You can ask for academic renewal if you want, but like i said, you will have to repeat the Critical thinking and Writing to transfer.

The Ws do not matter. Depending on your major you may have to repeat Statistics as well.

What schools are you considering.

If it is not UCLA or UCB - you can pretty much get into all the others with transfer agreements as long as you complete what they require.

and i thought my 3.52 was dreadful

lol academic forgiveness?

Ummm..... definitely retake the classes u got Fs and Ds in! Also try and not get too many more Cs or you wont have a shot at any of the UCs except maybe UCR and UCSC.

^^ Funny that people don't even bother to mention UCM... And you can't just say "please forget about the poor performance last term". All you can do is retake classes you got <C and show an upward trend from here. Academic renewal (forgiveness) is definitely not applicable when you just performed poorly; more like a situation where it's been a long time since a student was in school, and their previous work (typically 2 years+ ago) is not representative of their current performance/ability.

Looks like what is more important is finding a way for you to focus. It looks like your first semester went all right, but since then, you just got lazy. Find a way to get back into wanting to do well in school.

I think you should retake Critical Thinking and Writing. People like it when you get good grades in those kinda English classes.

Re-take all those Ws, Fs, and Ds. Don't get anymore Cs. End of story move on.

I was thinking of transferring to UCR or UCSF

UCSF doesn't have an undergraduate program but i think you meant to say UCSC. Whats your major?

Your grades look messy. But don't get discouraged. You can fix all of that. The W's don't count. Those F's you just have to repeat and decent grades in. The C's are bad. Stay away from those like the plague. Advice *don't take english and stats together in the same semester. You may over whelm yourself. Take a 12 load next semester and pick yourself up from there.

Just sign a transfer agreement, but you have to pull up your gpa to 2.8 or 2.9 (not sure what it is now)

And if you can not manage your 2.8-3.1 in Community college, you have really a small chance of doing well at any UC
