My Guidance Councilor just dumped me. :O Need immediate help!

<p>Well erm, as you might have known I'm an international applicant and we dont exactly have a proper guidance councilor as most institutions have. So i had to nominate my head of school/Principal as my guidance councilor and I have gave him all the information he needed on how to write up the whole evaluation and everything and he said he'll make sure I get them on time and everything but a day back due to some personal matters he had to leave the country and he isnt coming back till Feb. :/</p>

<p>i wanted to know that whether I can change my guidance councilor's information and nominate another school official now? Given i have already sent him an invitation for my school reports and evaluation. I didnt want to try anything on CommonApp before making sure whether I was doing the right thing or not. </p>

<p>With the deadline coming up so close, I'm just more worried now. :/ has anyone been through such a situation? and how can i handle all this? Any response would be appreciated.</p>

<p>You can easily delete the counselor in the “school form” section in common app and send an invitation to another school official (or even resend it to the old official)
Will it matter if your counselor/principal is abroad? The form is completed online anyways, so he can do it anywhere.</p>

<p>^ Well I asked him to do the same but as it turns out he wouldnt get the chance to do so. Anyhow I got nominated another school official to do his job now. I just wanted to make sure this wont cause any trouble with my application. Now that is cleared out, I’m back on track with it.</p>
