I have a slight problem! yeah, my identity was stolen.....I discovered this Monday and I've called social security, cancelled my accounts and everything....

I have all of my applications, recs, and stuff in....EXCEPT for my ACT scores.....up until a few weeks ago I didn't know you had to send the scores from the testing agency.

Well now I'm in a bind because you have to use your social security number to get the scores sent out....and I don't have one at the moment.....argh!

I'm applying to Cornell, university of pennsylvania, university of virginia, columbia university, william and mary, vandy

I have a 34 composite.... Should I just not worry about it (the score is on my transcript anyway) Plus my principal said she would contact the schools and tell them my identity was stolen and that I cannot send them my scores...

Wow, that's a pretty rare situation. Call the schools, I'm sure that your school will affirm your identity, and the ACT should be able to get things corrected and official score reports sent out after a little bit.

Let your schools know what's going on, and I'm sure it won't be a problem if the ACT has to take a few weeks to amend + send out your scores.

That's a sucky situation, to have your ID stolen...and then to have to worry about your college apps too!

Most identity thieves want money. Not scores. I wonder if you have been to a hospital or emergency room lately? My husband has had his comprimised two times and each time it was after one of us was in the hospital or emergency room. Make sure you contact the credit bureaus and your bank- you can have a special code at the bank that only allows you - with id and the code to do anything at all. I do advice making the code something you can remember since I forgot the code I gave and that was a hole new trip.

What happens if ACT DOESN'T STRAIGTEN IT OUT before decisions are mailed??!!!!! Will they accept the score on my transcript?! Flat out reject me?!!
