My June SAT scores...oh man.

Critical Reading: 640
Math: 500

Writing: 520 (essay:10)

I feel depressed now, I went the room thinking that I was going to get at least an 1800 but I ended up receiving a 1650. What should I do now...?

Don’t give up. Was that your first SAT? What was your prep work like.

You have a great essay score though, and CR is really not that bad.

Keep practicing and you will get there.

Yeah, That was my first SAT. I did something with the Princeton Review and I studied/ prepped by myself a few times a day.

:(

Yah don’t give up dude I got a 640 in CR too! Get the blue book and do tons of practice.
Get Dr. Chung’s for math SAT and Barron’s for math

I did Princeton review too and was shooting for at least an 1800, but got a 1670. The only thing to do now is practice more and get ready for the next test.

I made an 1860 on the March 3 one, do not fret, just make sure to practice and find your weak points, then take the one in Sept. or Oct.

Trust me I feel terrible for having 1860 considering my PSAT was in that range (proving that I learned nothing)

don’t worry man, i did even worse and had the same expectations as you.

Critical Reading 520
Math 500
Writing 590
Multiple Choice 54
Essay 10

total: 1610

I had zero exp, and this was my first SAT as well. even if i had really disappointing results, i’m studying hard this summer everyday for hours. i believe it’s possible to improve your score 200+ pts if you just go through the blue book and do all the practice tests thoroughly. good luck, study hard, and don’t give up :)

This was my first SAt too and my scores were similar. Does anybody know the exact equivalence tables?

I took my first SAT back in May and I got close to the same results as you. I think I ended up with a 1660 with a 9 essay. I just got my scores back today for the June test and I went up to a 1750 and a 10 on the essay without studying. I think much of my improvement came from experience with the test. Your score was fine for a first-time taker. Your essay score was great as well. Now that you know what the test is like, you can either improve on your test taking skills or hit the books and try to learn what you don’t know. Otherwise, don’t fret. I think you did a great job for your first time. Just be more prepared the next time now that you know what the test is like. Best of luck!
