My Junior Year of High School

Well, I'm not sure where I was supposed to put this, so I just picked this one. My bad if it's the wrong forum.

Anyways, I'm currently failing my Junior Year. Not from lack of trying or laziness, but from major family issues that weren't expected. I'm finally back and there's barely 2 months left of school. I'm failing about 3 core classes and I have no clue what to do.

The point I'm trying to make is, if, or when, I do fail Junior year with a ****ty GPA, will colleges care? Or what? My other GPAs were good, so....

I just don't want this to effect my chances of me getting into a good college.

You’ll have to explain to them why your Junior year was so poor.

I’m sorry but this is DEFINITELY going to affect your college application. Unless you have a very good reason. Even if its not a very good reason they may cut you a little slack. Just make sure you talk to your guidance counselor about it and have your parents talk to him/her as well. This way, the guidance counselor can write about the hardships you endured in a recommendation letter, and the colleges will know that you aren’t just BSing a story. Good luck!
