That’s a pretty good schedule. Three Honors and three AP’s is rigorous enough for junior year. And all of your classes are academic ones, no fillers. And just saying, as long as your schedule is very rigorous at your school, that’s all that really matters. Many schedules are tougher than need be on CC, so I would remember not to be bothered by it.

If you could answer some questions in the thread I’ve linked below, that would be amazing. I’m trying to decide on MY junior year schedule, but I need some information regarding these questions first… Thank you. (:

Personally, i would take APUSH there, or at least US History Honors.
The only reason a academic class should be taken regular is if its not offered any other way
IMO

other than that pretty good

We only have APUSH and CPUSH. I am not planning on majoring in history, law, business, etc. so there is no need for that class for me, although it IS weighted. AP European history was enough for me this year -__-

If you lived through Euro, Id reccomend taking APUSH, I dont think it would be that difficult

I didn’t live through Euro, I barely passed it. I hate history.

^ I hate history too. I love the schedule, nothing is wrong. :)

No but really, is it worth taking AP English if I’m not planning to major in it?

It depends, do you need it to look good to colleges? Does your future college accept AP credit and will the class expedite your GE? If it works towards it, these are some essential ones even if they are out of your major: AP Biology, Chemistry, US History, World History, Foreign Language, English preferably Lit, Calculus AB/BC, Art History/Music Theory.

The only hard class I see there is AP Biology, the math and physics courses tend to not have much homework and AP English doesn’t have much well if it is language/comp you won’t be reading books.

Going a little off track, but the seniors have two choices when picking English classes, Merit English 12 (Merit just means, “on grade level”) and AP Literature. Most choose AP Literature because it “looks good”. You don’t have an AP English credit, if you don’t want to but it’s good to have. Remember you can always take it Senior year.

I think you should prioritize what interests you over what has “academic rigor.” Not trying to imply that you aren’t interested in what’s on your schedule–I just want to put my two cents in.

Our school does not offer many AP classes, there are all of the usuals such as AP Chem, AP Bio, AP Physics, etc. However, I would like to focus on my GPA without overloading myself with 5 or 6 AP classes. Is this a good idea?

What don’t you like about sushi? I’m not a huge fan of raw fish myself.

Haha yeah raw fish < a lot of things
