I don't know much about a lot of these schools, but I'll give it a shot.

dude idk, i appreciate ur response, but it seems kindve awkward to me...u rejected me from penn state, waitlisted me at uconn, but accepted me into GW, American and BU, all of which are much much much more competative then penn state and uconn...

I haven't heard of a lot of those schools except UNC, BU, and Wake Forest.

thanks for makin me paranoid lol

Maybe thats because I live in Texas..I already did indicate that I didn't know much about a lot of those schools. lol

i understand, but lol dont answer for those schools...im freakin out already as it is

thanks for ur input tho

I am familiar with those schools. Here's how I see your chances:

Safe bet schools: American, UConn, Northeastern
Good chance of admissions, but not a safe bet: GWU, Villanova, James Madison, Penn State, Boston U
Reachy but worth a shot: Wake Forest, UNC Chapel Hill

Since BU's finanical aid is merit based, even should you get accepted to BU, I do not see any money coming your way or very little toward the $40,000 price tag. I also don't see a lot of money coming from gwu either as both schools reserve their money for students at the top of the application pool

ya i understand that

George Washington - accepted

Wake Forest - hard to say. best guess would be waitlisted but i think you have a good shot at getting accepted.

Northeastern University - accepted with generous aid

Penn State - accepted

Villanova - accepted

James Madison - accepted with generous aid

Uconn - accepted

American University - accepted with generous aid

UNC-Chapel Hill (Im from NY, yea i know...lol laugh it up) - waitlisted or rejected

Boston Univ. - accepted

You all are so stupid. First of all, most of the people here are paranoid high school nerds and their equally paranoid parents. If you really want to go to one of the schools on your list, then just apply idiot. Stop wasting your time worrying about the opinions of people that are not in a position to give advice.

dude have a few schools with your aim higher!
Btw, Oedipus, we're all here to help.
Yeah, I understand, this is making me feel bad too, all these ppl putting rejected next to people who have awesome grades and E.C.'s (dude, 2000 hours on ambulance corp? Have a few higher reaches in there man.)
Don't be discouraged Doogie by what ppl put, some know nothin' about some of your colleges. For example. Why the heck would you get wait listed by Wake Forest... then rejected by Penn State?

i would but im in a pinch, i dont have any SAT II's and my ACT grade of 27 just is not good enuf for any higher reach schools...

any suggestions

ooo... well, it aint too late bud... you got 1 month left, cram 2 SAT II's in by September.
Less asking unqualified people such as myself whether pr not you can get in, and do something to get yourself in.
2 SAT II's, you can take it in the same day.

i wanted to take my SAT's over again and just lock myself into those schools i listed

i feel like im outta practice with sum subjects so i may do more harm then good, u know

UConn is not a "safe bet," but it is a match. They're under 50% for selectivity now and it's getting more and more competitive for out-of-state admissions, so don't go thinking you have it in the bag.

Well, that's a stumper.
In my opinion, (since Tier 1 colleges are pretty concerned with SAT II's, most of them that is), I would take 2 SAT II's and try to aim for 700's and up.
Then send my scores in to any Early Decision or Early Action colleges. Then see if I can cram one last SAT I in to all the rest of my collges.
Thing is, I have no idea if this plan would even work.
So ask your guidance counselors, or start a new thread completely concerned with this question.

well see im pretty content with my list now i dont wanna change it around, so i dont really need the SAT II's anymore

but ya i understand what your sayin. Thanks for the great advice too!

But what do you think about my schools.
