My Parents went to grad school, does that count as legacy?

Just been curious about this for awhile. Both of my parents were undergrads elsewhere then attended the University of Washington Graduate School program, where they met. Does this give me the same amount of legacy as someone whose parents attended the school as undergrads? Thanks!

yeah, it counts as the same amount of legacy. you get legacy for everywhere your parents attended undergrad AND grad as well

It depends on the school. Some schools count it, others don’t.

Thank you, seeing as my friend got in with lower credentials and legacy, I am now confident myself. Good to know.

Totally depends on the schools and many state schools do not count legacy at all (UCs for example), so check Washington for both.
