<p>I'm sure if your writing style is good enough they will like it. If you pick the point you are trying to get across, stick to it, and clearly succeed, they may appreciate it.</p>
<p>I don't usually find frankly philosophical essays to be effective. The goal of a college essay imo is to reveal (some of) your personality, to give a sense of the sort of human presence that you will bring to the campus, to the classroom, to the dorm. I've generally found that essays that give an argument don't typically reveal enough of the person behind the argument. Jmho.</p>
<p>Don't sound like you're high. Edit it so it sounds more philosophical, but if a certain writing style you do sounds more like it, you just need to watch your words/content. Yeah.</p>
