My professor lost my midterm.

Hi, I am an International student.

Here is a question:

All my grades of spring session was out last week, but I founded that I got one"Incomplete" grade.

I immediately wrote an email to the professor, but I did not get a response.

Next day,I went to department office to ask why I got this grade.

They gave me an answer: Professor lost your midterm exam. (But he knew I am not absent)

I once again wrote an email to the professor to discuss solutions, but he still does not reply.

I think it is ridiculous! The course has been a few months from now.

What should I do?

Thank you all!!

Speak to your dean, advisor and/or department head. You shouldn’t be penalized for a mistake that wasn’t yours. In addition to losing your midterm (months ago!) it’s ridiculous that the professor isn’t responding to your emails. As a tuition paying student, you are a customer and you should expect better service than this.

How did you do on your final?
If good, then ask if they could count that as your midterm grade.
The main thing is that your final grade indicates how you mastered the material…so if you did well on the final, then clearly you have learned the material.
