My rank dropped d:

oh god. so i got my updated rank. and it's sooooooo bad D:
i dropped by so much. i really screwed up junior year =((

i'm in the top 13% in a class of 530+
will that hurt my chances by ALOT?

everything else, like my scores, recommendations, EC's and leadership positions, interships, and essays are all solid. But my junior year grades really suck -__- so that affected my gpa and made it go down. TELL MEEE: DO PEOPLE WHO ARE IN THE TOP 13% OF THEIR CLASS STILL STAND A CHANCE EARLY DECISIONING TO UPENN?

Well nothing is ever certain but the fact of the matter is that your junior year grades are the most important ones in high school, especially when applying early since they will not see your first semester grades before admitting you (if you get in). I’ve heard of people getting into Ivies after having a not so good freshman year, but of the people I knew in high school who got into Ivies, I would guess most of them did very well their junior year.

According to Penn’s common data set.
