Feel free to ask! And yes, I know I applied to a lot of schools!

Congrats on your many acceptances (and yes, that was a lot of colleges to which you applied!)- have you made any decisions?

@Emsmom1 I got waitlisted from a LOT of schools as you can see-- wasn’t sure if I’d stay on. I am pretty committed to Georgetown although I was decided between Vanderbilt and waiting for Cornell

You were accepted to 8- that’s fantastic! Seems colleges put lots of kids on waitlist this year. I told my nephew (waitlisted at 4/14 or so) not to count on getting in to a waitlist school, especially since he needs financial aid.
Anyway, have you visited both Georgetown and Vanderbilt?

@Emsmom1 I visited Georgetown for the GAAP weekend and LOVED it! Unfortunately didn’t have time to visit Vanderbilt (it’s pretty far form me and I don’t have time to fly there), so not sure if it’s the best fit in the first place. But loved Georgetown enough and can’t see being happier than I was there!

I also liked Cornell a lot (visited a few times), but like you said, waitlists have low accept rates

Congratulations! You have a lot of great options!

Congrats on your list! Would you be willing to disclose your Fin Aid packages - specifically UVA, Georgetown, and Vandy?

Did you do many EC’s? Also you have pretty good scores and got into pretty high schools so was there an important thing you did? Congrats!

@FrothyShake of course! Did not apply for FA at all (didn’t make CSS profile or FAFSA or anything)

@kurtish1 I have a publication for a science paper as well as being president of 2 clubs at my school (more local level). I’ve participated and placed in a national competition (don’t wanna say because t can give away my identity) and have done a lot of community service. I’m not extraordinary-- didn’t do Siemens or anything like that, but I think well rounded?

wow wish i was like you lol. Good luck on your choice of schools!

You have a number of great options - Congrats! Let us know where you end up.

Congrats!!! That would be inline with expectations. Did you receive the FA packages? Have you decided?
