My SAT got cancelled twice already and theres no chance of me taking it in Dec.

Hello, this year, I was supposed to take my SAT test but my August and October one got cancelled.

As a heads-up, I am only applying to UCs and CSUs but with no SAT score on file, I was not able to report the scores.

Will this hurt my chances in admissions?? They are test-optional but not blind as far as I know it.

Colleges will definitely be more lenient this semester. However, there will still be people that do submit SAT from sophomore/junior year. There really isn’t anything you can do about it at this time and if they see that you attempted to register multiple times, it probably won’t count against you. I would say focus on essays and show that that you have the rest of the qualities that make you a qualified applicant.

It is the current reality. There’s nothing you can change, so don’t spend time thinking/worrying about it.

Others are more up to speed on CA than I, but last I heard, UC schools were prohibited from considering standardized test scores this year.

I recommend asking your college counselor to put it in the counselor’s report. That way schools know you don’t have scores because you didn’t have the opportunity, not because you had a low score.

@bottleofdog UCs and CSUs are test-blind this year. My D21 submitted both applications. Both applications let you enter test scores though. The UC application said that the standardized test scores will not be used for admissions, regents scholarships, or chancellors scholarships. The scores might be used to calculate the applicants state-wide eligibility (top 9%).

Since I am aiming to apply to UCs and CSUs, instead of looking for an SAT score, would they look at my first semester senior grades?

Normally the UC’s and CSU’s do not consider Senior grades for their admissions review but they occasionally ask for a Mid-year transcript if you are borderline applicant for a supplemental review. Maintaining good grades Senior year is expected since all acceptances are provisional. Things could change for this year so you never know.
