Whew! Just got done reviewing BB Test #5!!! Spent all day (on and off of course). It’s going to be a really tight schedule once school starts, but I’m going to try my best to stick to it. I also started P90X so there’s another schedule that I must stick to as well! All these schedules…at least they beat sitting around doing nothing productive ;).

Okay, so I fell a day behind on my schedule since I was out of town. I just finished BB #6. This was a timed test and I tried to mimic real testing conditions as much as possible. Here are the results:

Math 630 - 690
Critical Reading 630 - 710
Writing 700 - 800

I think that I’ve improved a bit since I produced slightly better results under timed conditions :).

Here’s some sticking points:

Math: SPEED. I find myself going through the first (easy/med.) problems super fast, but when I get on the harder problems toward the end, my speed DROPS.

CR: Sentence Completion! SC!!! SC!!! I perform well on the passage-based questions (thanks to studying for AP Lang :)), but I completely suck on SC. I’m about to begin studying my new DH 2010 edition books, so hopefully those will help out.

Writing: Sometimes there’s just a stupid question that stumps me. I’m like ***? None of the answer choices make sense! Thankfully, these questions are quite rare.

Congratulation :)

Yeah, speed is (at least I think) the most important factor for the ones who are struggling to reach the high 700s-800… I usually finish after 10 minutes and go through the whole thing one more time (a third time is almost impossible for me)

Btw, thx again for telling us about the new DH.
Are you international??

haha doing well, nice job.

for speed in math I wouldn’t worry about trying to speed up your work, with practice speed through the section naturally comes I used to be finishing the final question as there was 1 minute left, but now I finish with about 10 minutes left without ever trying to speed up

for CR yeah I have the same problem, any question I miss is SC ><

Just finished BB Test #8. Here are the results:

Writing 640 - 770
Math 620 - 680
Critical Reading 630 - 710

Here are the composite scores of the tests I’ve taken so far. These were found by averaging the high-end scores with the low-end scores.

BB Test #6: 2080
BB Test #7: 2050
BB Test #8: 2030

I’m not seeing any progress. My biggest problem is running out of time on the math sections. If there was no time limit, I’d get 800s every time. However, I usually end up omitting either 2 or 3 on each math section because I run out of time.

scores alone wont tell me enough to help you.

October scores are in! Here are my compiled results:

10th Grade: 154 (PSAT)
11th Grade: 162 (PSAT)
11th Grade: 1840 (590 CR / 620 M / 630 W) - Jan 2009
12th Grade: 2320 (780 CR / 750 M / 790 W) - Oct 2009

Phew! All that studying paid off!

Wow, congratulations on your scores! What do you think helped you the most?

Congratulations! :)

Now you just have to hope that the ETS won’t check your scores because of the huge point increase (I believe they do that to scores of around 500 point increases).

Congratulations, your hard work really paid off! You set a great example for your fellow students.

Don’t worry about ETS, they would not have released your scores if they questioned anything.
