My SAT scores are pretty bad, but I've written great essays and I have a lot extra-curriculars.

SAT- 1770 (Math-720, Reading-520, Writing-530)
TOEFL-98
SAT 2- 690(math2) and 580(physics) (couldn’t study for it because my school exams clashed with it)
I am an International Student. I got a 83% in my 10th grade board exams and a predicted score of 80% in my 12th.

Essays:
What You Do For Pleasure: Photography and Bird watching
Department at MIT: Aerospace Engineering ( how I did numerous projects on topics like Space-X etc. and how it fascinates me to read about stuff like that)
Trait Most Proud Of: On a scale of 1-10 my essay would be 9.
World You Come From: transit from busy environment to a boarding school (in a forest) etc.
Significant Challenge: Language problem and how I overcame it and did well in my language paper.

My extra-curriculars- 1. Photography and bird watching, 2.Art (carpentry, pottery, drawing), 3.Games(school football and cricket team and interschool TT,Volleyball and Badminton), 4.Leadership Roles( Deputy Prime Minister in school etc), 5.Music(Amateur Piano player), 6. Rock-climbing and trekking, 7. Know Java and C to an extent(can make games like Tic-Tac-Toe), 8. Social Service (Active Volunteer in KEEP, CMCA and Old Age India), 9. Internship in Cloud computing company called Nuware, 10. Learning magic with cards.

I have great recommendations too (atleast i think so) and i have a maker and art portfolio as well. How good would my application be for MIT? And how much preference/value does MIT give to scores and grades?

Unfortunately, MIT is very unlikely to accept anyone with SATs lower than 700 in each section. Unless you have some kind of outstanding research that you did in high school, the chances are pretty low.

Just so that you know, you would be a very strong applicant at most other schools. I know someone who got a perfect ACT score on her first try, had outstanding extracurriculars, and even did a summer internship in a lab at the University of Minnesota - her essays were great as well. Even she was rejected by MIT, Early Decision. MIT admissions can be painfully difficult, and it’s really a reach school for anyone.

Stop dreaming you will only crash, I learnt it the hard way.

Your SAT I scores are very low, but you can take the TOEFL in place of the SAT/ACT. MIT’s admissions website says a 90 is required, but a 100+ is recommended, so the 98 might put you at a slight disadvantage, as you need good proficiency in English at MIT.

But your Math II and science subject test scores are also very low. It seems very highly unlikely.

Sorry, take this dream off the table.Your scores are not good and an 80% is a low B- in the US. Your EC’s are just ok. You would literally need miracle to get in. Put MIT aside, it is not going to happen. Sorry : (…

MIT has accepted some with low SAT scores like yours, but the occurrences are infrequent, and something else in your application must be compelling enough to offset them.
