Now that I had posted my moronic scores earlier I wanted to post the new ones too :)

Math : 790 CR : 650 :D

I think Dartmouth and me was not be! Oh yeah I had tough time leaving the Dartmouth Class of 2012 group on FB.

But staying here was a great deal of fun! I had the opportunity to meet lots of wonderful people! Sybbie, VeryHappy, bluebayou, ohmadre, yanarchy, supergaut, rainmama, foggy, vossron, paying3tuitions, pamplemoose, cameliasenesis, GrenadeJumper, jmmom and also someone really wonderful whom I cannot name without his/her permission. I'm apologize if I am missing out someone!

Dartmouth rocks with or without me! I'm doing ED II Bowdoin now. So if probably 5 or 6 years down the lane I land on the moon with a Bowdoin's(or some other college's flag) flag its all Mrs Laskaris' fault! ;)

Congratulations to everyone who got in! w00t! You guys are going to have the best 4 years of your lives!

To those who didn't get in - who cares? :D Just make sure that the admission committee later regrets not admitting you :)

And yes the main announcement, the Ajay's Outdoor Club (AOC) Trip is still going to take place!(if I make it to US) So I dont want anyone making excuses about no time if I suddenly pop up sometime next year with the schedule :D

Ajayc - fun to hear from you! GREAT scores. Whichever school and you are meant to be, its a pretty sure bet it will be a great experience. CHEERS to you.

I just heard from Kalamazoo. They were really impressed by my application and want me on their campus but due to financial limitations cannot admit me right now. They have told me if my financial situation improves a bit by march next year they will admit me. So its kinda semi-admit at the moment :)

I think I will write back to them with my new sat scores and also my parents are willing to contribute a bit of more funds. Lets see what happens!

That's BIG news, Ajay.

Also, the fact that Kalamazoo is "really impressed by [your] application" is great news as well. This bodes well for other schools that might have more $$$ to throw your way.

The
Admission Committee has carefully reviewed your
impressive application, and while the committee feels
strongly that you would be a wonderful addition to
Kalamazoo College, we are unable to offer you a place
at our college at this time. Though we feel that you
have the academic preparation to succeed here, our
limited financial aid offerings prevent us from
granting you admission with the financial assistance
you require.

OK this is the D forum I should stop talking about other colleges... :p

If this winds up being the response from every college (God forbid), what about working for a year to get some $$$ in your pocket, and then re-applying??

^ Not an option. I plan to come back and join the Air Force as a Test Pilot. As it is the 3/2 program takes 5 years to complete and if I extend it by even a few months I will cross the minimum age of entering the Force.

I think its going to be either reject or admit from other colleges. All other colleges I have applied to have money and seem to give out aid upto 'full-rides' to its international students!

I think February (When I hear back from Bowdoin and Earlham (EA, they too give out full rides)) will be a deciding point. :)

PS: I trying to ask the aerospace companies I am working with to lend me some $$$ if possible!
