My Situation IU/Pudue

<p>Hi, I need some opinions on what to choose between IU or Purdue.</p>

<p>I've been admitted to both IU and Purdue in the Computer Science department, and I'm fairly sure I want to stick with this major (change is possible). I'm fully aware that Purdue is more respected In terms of technology and math. But I feel like overall I would enjoy being at IU MUCH more than Purdue and I don't know one single guy going there. My question is, will I make more money with a Purdue Comp Science major as opposed to a IU one? What are the advantages of going to Purdue for this major? Can I still be successful with a IU Comp Science major?</p>

<p>my son has also been admitted to Purdue CS as well as some other schools. We just got back from a visit day at Purdue – if you can, go to one. The CS department gave a very impressive presentation – starting salaries (2009 data) were $69k, there is 100% placement in summer internships and multiple job offers for the 70% of graduates who go to right to jobs instead of grad school.</p>
