I read on the forum that if u took an AP class and dont submit your AP test score, then colleges will be suspicious. I took AP Physics B this year and got a 3. Should I cancel, rescore and hope something good comes up, or should I just send it-- no matter what (even if the rescore doesnt work)? Thanks!

I think you should just send it. It’s not like you failed the test, and a 3 is a pretty respectable score for AP Physics B in my opinion. Rescore if you felt you did much better, but really I don’t think you need to worry about a 3.

I got an A in the course but wouldnt the undergraduate admissions think its kinda strange? :

^it probably means your school practices grade inflation.

I don’t plan to major in physics but would this decrease my chances of admission in Top 20 colleges?

It won’t help. As BindersOpen has already said, it just shows grade inflation.

Out of all of the factors related to college admission, I am sure that your less-than-desirable performance on one test will not have a discernible effect on your acceptances.

Plus, a lot of schools don’t have a spot for u to report the AP scores on the app (u would put it under misc). And, if ur planning on paying $15 on sending the CB report to the college, forget about it. They really only want AP scores at the end of ur senior year, after u’ve been admitted, for the college credit. And if u fill out the forms during the AP testing sessions then they send the report to the college (and I believe it is free at that point). The only schools that use AP scores for admissions are the ultra competitive schools, such as Harvard and Princeton.
