My son is going to start this year as a junior in high school which means he will start looking at colleges. Can someone help my son out when it comes to this. What are his chances of getting into schools such as Umass, UCONN, Rutgers, and Penn state for marketing. He has a 85 gpa but is only 110 out of 189 in his class. He showed major improvement making honors every time his sophomore year and his freshman year didn't do to well. He has very good ec. He has over 60 hours of service with volunteering. Has been a CIT at a local camp. And does sports at his high school. Now if he Keeps up this constant rate of improvement does he stand a chance of getting into these schools for marketing. Please be honest. He also has 2 other siblings in college if it matters. Thanks!

It depends on his SAT/ACT score as well.

Those public schools are good targets for him. Make sure he focuses on getting his GPA up and doing well on standardized tests.

After he takes his SAT/ ACT you can start making a list of safeties, matches, and reaches.

Any subject SATs yet? Also Rutgers considers rankings so I don’t know how well he’ll do there.
SATs and ACTs are biggies though, don’t let them slide

Thanks everyone!
