I’m a senior in High School. I am applying to
- Embry Riddle Aeronautical University
- University of North Dakota
- Purdue
- Saint Louis University
- Cal State Maritime Academy
- Cal Poly Pomona
- Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
- Cal State Fullerton
- San Jose State University
- UCI
- UCR
- UCSB
*My GPA 10th-12th = 3.9091(Weighted) and 3.363(unweighted)
*My total GPA = 3.9(Weighted) and 3.6(unweighted)
- I am still in my first semester of senior year so my grades for 12th grade are not factored in the GPA.
*I took the SAT one time in 2015 and I got 600(CR), 680(W, score of 11 on essay), and 690(M)
*Extracurriculars-I have around 600 volunteer hours. I have attended Mexico Missions since I was a freshman. I have been a teacher’s assistant at my communities disability group since sophomore year. I also participate in beautification projects for my city. I have leaned the basics of coding-html, css, javascript, and a little bit of C#. Along with coding, I also specialize in S.E.O (Search Engine Optimization) and I am 1/3 owner of the e Commerce website called www.asapcases.com. I have been in my high school’s Global IT Academy consistently for two years and I have also been on the tennis team for four years, two of which I played as Varsity. As well, I am the Vice-President of the Math and Computer Science Association. I have also earned my Sport Pilot License and I will earn my Unmanned Aerial Systems certificate by the end of 2016 and earn my Private Pilot license by the end of senior year. This is a vast majority of my activities.
I plan on becoming a commercial airline pilot by the way. Just based on what I provided, what are my chances for the colleges I have or will soon apply to. Feel free to leave comments or your thoughts/insight on any of the colleges I have listed. Not mentioned above, but I will get two letter of recommendations: School Counselor and flight instructor. My personal statement is a pretty strong essay too.
** I do not plan on attending any of the UC btw. I am a California resident so I am only putting it in as a financial backup because I can receive a lot of cal grants, scholarships, and financial aid. I am also aware of the steep cost to attend Embry Riddle ***
