my teacher is recommanding me for research... fun?

My bio teacher just gave 3 ppl with very high marks a genetics research opportunities sheet. Its a selective program that you have to apply and whatnot. Its for spring break (march of 2006), and they pair you with proffessors i think. Since i'm overwith and done and mailed all my RD apps in by january, i'm guessing research experience won't matter much.

but is it a good experience for you ppl who have done researches? my major is going to be in business, probably taking courses in science tho. Also, i guess by that time next year, i will have senioritis set in ;), so i really have nothing to lose. i guess it would be an interesting/once-in-a-lifetime experience for me.

comments?

Go for it I guess... haha...
Research opportunities can be exciting... right ?

Definitely! New experiences; lots of learning to do... I sound like a total dork, but it sounds like soo much fun. Even if you're not entirely inclined to go into genetics research, you may find it very interesting and pursue a B.S. in it... and go on to get your MBA. Connections at the research facility can be invaluable, so you still have a lot to gain.
On the flip side, if you know others who would benefit more than you, it'd be better if you stepped aside for someone who really wants it and needs it..
Good luck!
