Been having some acceptances come in but I still have a few left out there. I have currently been deferred from UCF and am waiting. I just visited the campus this weekend and became curious.

Honors/AP-

H Spanish 3
H World History
AP US Government(to be taken spring semester this year)

Sent in 4 pretty good(atleast to my eye they were) recommendation letters from my head football coach, math teacher, school counselor, and a family friend who is a board member on a company that is boosters and sponsors for UCF.

Played varsity football in grades 10, 11, and 12.

With about 5 weeks left in my fall semester im most likely going to finish with a 3.0

Your GPA and test scores are very borderline. I’ve seen people with better scores who got denied. That said, don’t give up hope, try to be patient! From what I’ve seen and heard, it’s mostly about GPA and test scores, I’m not really sure how far those recommendations and extracurricular will get you.

Good luck!! Is this your first choice?

Yes. I also applied to FAU, USF, FIU, and FGCU in Florida and was accepted into Stetson, Indiana State, Georgia Southern and Kennesaw State. I want to end up in Central Florida because it is my home. My thing is if worst comes to worst comes to worst I can always go to stetson or potentially transfer after a year from GA Southern.

You can also go to Valencia Community College for two years if you don’t mind attending a CC, and transfer after. It’s a lot cheaper and you are 100% guaranteed admission to UCF after 2 years. Knew some people that did that! Either way, I hope you get accepted into UCF!! Did you apply for fall or summer?

fall. and thats not a terrible idea
